Well it's been over a year of thinking "I should blog that" and I finally got back over here! I know some people read this who are not on FB and see my more regular posts.
Life is good it's just very busy, stressful, crazy, exhausting.......but, I mostly love my job (although they think we should work miracles with less time and less resources and families that often don't care, but this is a whole 'nutha' story). I have a wonderful and adorable daughter, talented husband, extra supportive and patient parents and grandma, and great friends who I don't see often enough!
Anyway so Calleigh is nearing three and doing great! She can identify most of the letters of the alphabet and even knows some of the sounds that go with them (Thank you SuperWhy, Grandma, and all the alphabet books and bathtub letters we play with!). She flips through her books and tells me the story - using a lot of the words from the book or words I've said over and over......she will be REALLY reading soon! She can count to 20 when we practice and is starting to match the counting numbers to objects...she loves being outdoors and spent most of her summer there. Now she loves going to the gymnastics place about once a week and running and jumping and bouncing and swinging there! I want to get her more social activities to start preparing her for preschool! She got to see the ocean and Portland Zoo this summer and loved both and still talk about them! She watches Finding Nemo and Cars almost every day and can quote the words as they come up. However, potty training is still an issue, but more a problem of all of us caregivers buckling ourselves down to help her more I think! So I'm attaching some photos - one per month from this year so far and I'll share others later (if you're on FB, you've seen a lot). Enjoy! BTW, they seem to be in reverse order from June down to her 2nd birthday in January! Forgot how to edit in this program!
