What a Saturday!

Today I was in an all day training related to our science instruction - it was worth the time to go although it's hard to look at our test scores - but then when you look at previous test questions, it's amazing that any kids pass - as an adult I found some of it quite challenging....at least we're learning some strategies to help them prep for it - it's not teaching to the test, but teaching our material in a way that they start seeing the language and format of the test......

Then I get home, go the get mail, hop online and Missy starts acting funny. She's backing up into the corner under my computer desk, and whining like crazy. At first I thought she wanted attention, but she did it to Jeff too......over and over, and would not sit or lie down and would not let me near her tush, but yet would push it up against us. So down to the vet clinic that's open for emergencies - a long wait later and we learn her anal glands were impacted - it's a messy, uncomfortable fix (poor sweet thing) but she's much better now.....we just have to watch it!

On a positive note, here's my last digital page I did about spring - I used a template from Jen Caputo and made my own background paper with a butterfly brush - think it was Cottage Arts.

I'm back!

The Blog Robots got a hold of my blog and locked me out for a few days - ok it had been longer than that since I blogged, but still! Been itching to for awhile!

Too much going on! Oh I added a favorite classic video today - those of you 80's folks remember this? I remember when it came out we were sooooooo in awe of the sweetness and technology.......seems simple now!

Last week was crazy - lots of conferences - 17 between 12:30 and 7:30 on Tuesday night - with one 40 minute break for dinner! That's a lot of talking! All went well even tho a few had me nervous!

The 15th marked 5 years since Delaney's death - wish I could've posted that day....fortunately the work day was busy. Dad and I had a good cry at her tree after school, and then Jeff showed up and we took some pictures and talked a bit before going to Mom and Dad's house for pizza. It is so important for me to preserve her memory on her birthday and this date we call her "angel date" - the day she became one. If people are afraid to ask me about her, I say "Don't! You help me keep her memory alive. I never want to forget!" So don't feel shy to ask! Also in my archives from October you can read more about her as well.

Spring is here! Well officially tomorrow, but we had a beautiful weekend! I'm attaching pics from today when my first planting of daffodils came out - not many this year, but I'm thrilled with what I have! Gonna have to scrapbook these photos. The white flowers are from our apricot tree - DH wants to cut it down but for what it looks like right now, I've resisted....plus my mom took and did something with a bunch of the apricots last year - neither of us really like them.

Well I'll cut this off and share pics......have a good week!
